Camp Canyon is a magical place where kids get a chance to have fun every day and every night. Days are filled with great instructional periods in many different sports and other interest areas as well as game periods and electives for those who want to slow down and go hiking, play volleyball, or make something in creativity or rocketry. In the evenings special events and activities are planned and vary from whole camp spirit rallies to grade level socials and campfires. Campers can also choose to be part of special events committees to plan these events so the sky is the limit when it comes to the possibilities and the fun.
Indoor and outdoor, campers enjoy state of the art college facilities for instruction and game time. There are baseball fields, football fields, soccer fields, tennis courts, hiking trails, and more outside amenities and the indoor facilities will truly amaze you: Olympic sized pool, basketball courts, weight facility, racquetball courts, and three multipurpose arenas that can accommodate a number of other activities such as tennis, volleyball, track, etc. Not to mention the live broadcasting radio station and the auditorium.
At the end of the day, you retire comfortably in an air conditioned bunk with eight of your friends and up to two counselors with two full bathrooms for ease of showers and a common area to congregate for cards and games or just to relax and talk. There’s even a refrigerator in each bunk so evening snacks are readily available.
